I know that they get a bad rap and are the focus of every child’s vegetable nightmare, but brussels sprouts really are my favorite vegetable. I feel that the reason many people don’t like them is because they’ve never had them cooked properly. Roasting is one of the best ways to really bring out their wonderful flavor. Give this recipe a try and see if you can change your family’s opinion on this health food!
Preheat the oven to 425.
Spread a little bit of olive oil on a foil lined baking pan. Add on the cleaned brussles sprouts. Sprinkle on a little bit of salt and pepper and toss everything together.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until desired carmelization is achieved.
And that’s it! In our house we always eat brussels sprouts with Indian food. I’m not sure how we started that, but it stuck and now the two are synonymous for us. These delicious veggies also go great with steak, grilled chicken, or all by themselves!
